The Bands of Claudia Taylor Johnson Foundation
The CTJ band is hosting the UIL Region 12 Marching Contest on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Heroes Stadium. They need 100 volunteers to help with this event. There is a job for everyone!
Shift times are 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM and 12:15 PM - 6:30 PM. When you click on the link to sign up, you will see descriptions for each position.
You will receive FREE ADMISSION if you volunteer. We do not have a performance time yet.

The CTJ band has again been named the host band for the 2021 BOA San Antonio Super Regional marching competition. This means the band needs many volunteers. This is a great opportunity for the school and the band program to shine!
By signing up to volunteer on November 5th or 6th (or both days!), you will receive a t-shirt and the ability to watch bands for free the day you work. If you work a morning shift and get off at 11:00 am, you are able to watch bands the rest of the day for free. If you work the middle or late shift, you can come early and watch the bands before your shift and after you’re finished. If you want to work more than one shift, you can do that too. For those who work though lunch or dinner time, food and water will be provided.
There is something for everyone to do. If you have some limitations that might keep you from working, the volunteer coordinators can probably find something that fits your situation. There are over 300 four-or-five-hour volunteer work shifts during this multi-day event.
The attached links/files have brief job descriptions and the sign-up for shifts. We need all volunteer slots filled by Oct 15. Please consider signing up today, while it is on your mind. The CTJ band family, including alumni, have always risen to the occasion. Let’s keep this tradition alive!
